The maximum age limit for applying to the Factory Inspector position is 42 years as on 01st August 2024 (as per BPSC norms, age is calculated as on 01st August of the preceding year from which examination is to be held).

Educational Qualification Requirements

Minimum Essential Qualification:

Candidates must possess one of the following degrees from a recognized university or equivalent qualification notified by the State Government in the Official Gazette:

Option 1: Engineering or Technology Degree

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in any discipline
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in any discipline
  • The degree must be from an AICTE-approved institution or recognized university
  • Disciplines include: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Production, Instrumentation, or any other engineering branch

Option 2: Medical Degree

  • Regular MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized institution
  • The degree must be a full-time regular course
  • Candidates must be registered with State Medical Council
  • Distance learning or correspondence MBBS degrees are NOT valid

Important Points Regarding Qualifications:

  • Final year students or candidates awaiting results are NOT eligible
  • The degree certificate must be issued on or before the last date of application
