Important Points About Fee Payment:
- Application fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances

Refund Policy:
Application fees are generally non-refundable. However, in exceptional cases where the examination is cancelled by BPSC due to administrative reasons, fees may be refunded as per commission's decision. No refund will be made if candidate fails to appear in the examination or is found ineligible.

Age Limit and Relaxation Details
The maximum age limit for applying to the Factory Inspector position is 42 years as on 01st August 2024 (as per BPSC norms, age is calculated as on 01st August of the preceding year from which examination is to be held).

Age will be calculated as on 01st August 2024. This means candidates born on or after 2nd August 1982 are eligible to apply under general category without any relaxation.

Qualification
Educational Qualification Requirements
Minimum Essential Qualification:
Candidates must possess one of the following degrees from a recognized university or equivalent qualification notified by the State Government in the Official Gazette:
Option 1: Engineering or Technology Degree
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in any discipline
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in any discipline
- The degree must be from an AICTE-approved institution or recognized university
- Disciplines include: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Production, Instrumentation, or any other engineering branch
Option 2: Medical Degree
- Regular MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized institution
- The degree must be a full-time regular course
- Candidates must be registered with State Medical Council
- Distance learning or correspondence MBBS degrees are NOT valid
Important Points Regarding Qualifications:
- Final year students or candidates awaiting results are NOT eligible
- The degree certificate must be issued on or before the last date of application
- Candidates with degrees from foreign universities must have equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities)
