Educational Qualification Requirements

• Full-time Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from Central Institute of Hotel Management (CIHM), State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), or Private Institute of Hotel Management (PIHM) affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT), UGC, AICTE, or Government of India

Important Note: All educational, professional, and technical qualifications must be obtained from recognized Boards, Universities, or Institutes approved by relevant regulatory authorities. Distance education, part-time, or correspondence degrees are not acceptable for this recruitment. Age Limit and Relaxation Details

The upper age limit for Unreserved (UR) or General category candidates is 27 years as calculated on the reference date of 21st January 2026. Age relaxation provisions are available for reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates receive 5 years of age relaxation, making their maximum permissible age 32 years. Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) candidates are eligible for 3 years relaxation, extending their upper age limit to 30 years.

Daily Allowance (DA) is paid at Rs. 350 per day for on-duty periods aboard trains, with prorated payment based on duty hours: 100% for shifts exceeding 12 hours, 70% for duty periods between 6 to 12 hours, and 30% for duties lasting less than 6 hours. Lodging charges of Rs. 240 per night are provided when night stays are involved at outstation locations during duty assignments. National Holiday Allowance (NHA) is granted as per organizational policy when work is performed on national holidays. Medical insurance coverage is provided on a monthly basis as per extant policy, with reimbursement against submission of valid medical bills and documents.

Latecomers arriving after the specified time window will not be entertained under any circumstances. No Traveling Allowance (TA) or Deskilling Allowance (DA) will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.

Important Terms and Conditions

Selected candidates must deposit a refundable security amount of Rs. 25,000 in the form of Demand Draft payable to "IRCTC Ltd., Mumbai" at the time of joining. This security deposit will be refunded upon successful completion of the contract period or upon resignation with proper notice period as per contract terms. The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of 2 years, extendable by one year based on satisfactory performance and organizational requirements. This engagement does not confer any right, claim, or entitlement for regular or permanent appointment in IRCTC.

Either party (IRCTC or the engaged Hospitality Monitor) may terminate the contract by giving one month's written notice. However, IRCTC reserves the right to terminate the contract immediately without notice if the performance is found unsatisfactory or if any misconduct is observed. Candidates currently working in Government departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel or produce a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview, or submit a proper relieving letter at the time of joining if selected.

IRCTC reserves absolute rights to increase or decrease the number of vacancies (including reserve panel positions), cancel or amend the advertisement, modify the selection process, or postpone interview dates without assigning any reason and without prior notice.
