Educational Qualifications

For Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) positions, candidates must possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) from a recognized university. Medical registration with appropriate dental council is mandatory. For Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical), candidates need a 1st class Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields, or a 2nd class PG degree with Ph.D.

For Project Technical Support-III positions, candidates require a Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com) with relevant computer skills or laboratory experience. Specific subject requirements may vary by department and will be mentioned in individual advertisements.

Salary Structure

The salary ranges from Rs. 28,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- per month plus 20% House Rent Allowance (HRA) depending on the position and qualifications. Project Research Scientist-II positions offer the highest remuneration of Rs. 80,000/- plus 20% HRA (total Rs. 96,000/-). Project Research Scientist-I positions provide Rs. 56,000/- to Rs. 67,200/- per month. Project Technical Support-III positions offer Rs. 28,000/- per month plus applicable HRA.

Age Limit

Age limits vary by position. For Project Research Scientist-II, the maximum age is 40 years. For Project Research Scientist-I, the upper age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICMR and Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and other reserved category candidates.

Walk-in Interview Details

The Walk-in Interview is scheduled for February 2, 2026 (Sunday) at 2:30 PM. Candidates must report to the respective department offices at PGIMER, Chandigarh with all original certificates and self-attested photocopies. Candidates should arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for registration and document verification. No separate call letters will be issued. Only candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria should appear for the walk-in interview. Late arrivals will not be entertained.

Candidates must bring the following documents in original along with self-attested photocopies: all educational certificates and mark sheets from matriculation onwards, medical registration certificate (for medical positions), experience certificates if applicable, date of birth proof, caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates, PwD certificate if applicable, recent passport-size photographs, and a printed copy of the bio-data/application form.

Important Instructions

These are purely temporary contractual positions tied to specific research projects with no provision for permanent employment. Appointment will automatically terminate upon project completion. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the walk-in interview. Candidates already employed must bring a No Objection Certificate from their current employer.
