Age Limit for All Posts:
- For Unreserved (UR) / General Category Candidates:

- For Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates:

Important Instructions Regarding Age:

Educational Qualification Requirements
For Medical Officer (Homoeopathy):
Essential Educational Qualification:
- BHMS Degree: Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) from an institution recognized under Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 / Central Council of Homoeopathy
- The BHMS degree must be from a college/institution recognized and approved by Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH)
- The degree should be recognized for practice in India
- Compulsory Internship: Completion of one (01) year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final BHMS degree examination
- Internship completion certificate from the institution must be submitted
- Registration Certificate: The candidate MUST have valid registration with the Central Council of Homoeopathy or State Council of Homoeopathy
- Registration certificate number and issuing authority details must be provided
- Registration must be current and not expired or suspended
Desirable Qualification:
- Knowledge of Bengali language (one of the official languages of Tripura)
- Knowledge of Kokborok language (tribal language spoken in Tripura)
- Language proficiency helps in effective communication with local patients and community
- Post-graduation degree (MD in Homoeopathy) will be an added advantage
- Experience working in government AYUSH dispensaries or PHCs/CHCs
For Medical Officer (Ayurveda):

- The institution should be approved by CCIM and affiliated to a recognized university
- Compulsory Internship: Completion of one (01) year compulsory internship training after passing B.A.M.S. or its equivalent final examination
- Internship completion certificate from institution/university must be submitted
- Registration Certificate: The candidate MUST possess valid registration with the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) or State Ayurvedic/Indian Medicine Council
- Registration should be active and in good standing
- Registration number and validity must be clearly mentioned in application
Desirable Qualification:
- Knowledge of Bengali language for effective patient communication
- Knowledge of Kokborok language (beneficial for serving tribal population)
- Post-graduation degree (MD/MS in Ayurveda) will be given preference
- Experience in Panchakarma therapies, Ksharasutra treatment, or specialized Ayurvedic procedures

The State Ayush Mission Tripura (SAMT), functioning under the National Health Mission (NHM) Tripura and Department of Ayush, Government of Tripura, invites online applications from qualified AYUSH medical professionals for recruitment to the posts of Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) and Medical Officer (Ayurveda) on a contractual basis. This recruitment notification announces 04 vacancies providing excellent career opportunities for BHMS and BAMS degree holders to serve in government healthcare facilities across Tripura and contribute to expanding AYUSH medical services in the state.
State Ayush Mission Tripura was established with the objective of promoting and strengthening AYUSH systems of medicine - Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy - in the state through quality healthcare delivery, public awareness, research, and human resource development. The mission works towards integrating AYUSH with mainstream healthcare, establishing AYUSH dispensaries and hospitals, training practitioners, quality control of medicines, and providing accessible, affordable traditional medicine services to rural and urban populations of Tripura.
The recruited Medical Officers will be posted at various AYUSH dispensaries, Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and District Hospitals across Tripura state. They will be responsible for providing outpatient and inpatient medical services based on Ayurvedic or Homoeopathic systems of medicine, diagnosing and treating patients, prescribing medicines, maintaining medical records, participating in health camps and awareness programs, ensuring rational use of AYUSH medicines, coordinating with allopathic doctors in integrated healthcare settings, and implementing government health schemes and programs.
Candidates must possess Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree or Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) degree from institutions recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) or Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) respectively. Completion of one-year compulsory internship after passing the final BAMS/BHMS examination is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must hold valid registration with the Central Council or State Medical Council of the respective AYUSH system. The monthly consolidated remuneration for Medical Officer posts is Rs. 35,000/- payable on a monthly basis subject to satisfactory performance and attendance. **Work Schedule and Posting:**
Selected candidates will be required to work 06 to 08 hours per day and may be posted anywhere in Tripura state based on departmental requirements. They must be willing to serve in rural, remote, and tribal areas where AYUSH services are needed most. Transfer and posting orders issued by competent authorities must be complied with. Leave entitlements will be as per contractual terms and state government rules.
