Age Limit
Age Limit for Guest Faculty Positions:
For Fresh Candidates:
No specific age limit has been mentioned for fresh candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria. Generally, candidates who have recently completed their Master's degree or PhD can apply irrespective of age, though preference may be given to younger candidates for long-term engagement.
For Retired/Superannuated Teachers:
Maximum age limit is 70 years. Retired professors, associate professors, and assistant professors who have superannuated from recognized institutions can be engaged as Guest Faculty subject to this maximum age restriction.
Important Note: Age relaxation as per University of Delhi and Government of India norms will be applicable for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen) where relevant.

Educational Qualification Requirements
Essential Qualifications: The eligibility criteria for Guest Faculty positions are the same as those prescribed for the appointment of regular Assistant Professors in colleges under the University of Delhi, as per UGC regulations. The general requirements include: For Teaching Positions in Environmental Sciences: 1. Educational Qualification: - Master's Degree in Environmental Science/Environmental Studies/Ecology or related disciplines with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized Indian University/Institution - OR Master's Degree in relevant science subject (Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography, etc.) with specialization in environmental science/studies - A relaxation of 5% in marks (from 55% to 50%) is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwBD/Transgender candidates 2. NET/SET Qualification (Desirable): - Candidates having qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC-CSIR, or similar tests accredited by UGC like SLET/SET will be preferred - OR Candidates who have been awarded PhD degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 - OR Candidates enrolled for PhD program prior to July 11, 2009, and awarded PhD as per then-existing ordinances/bylaws/regulations 3. For Retired/Superannuated Teachers: - Retired professors, associate professors, and assistant professors from recognized universities and colleges are eligible - Must have retired under proper retirement rules - Should possess excellent academic record and teaching experience - Good academic contributions in terms of research and publications preferred Desirable Qualifications and Experience: - Excellent academic record throughout with demonstrated passion for teaching and research - Experience in teaching Environmental Sciences at undergraduate/postgraduate level - Research publications in peer-reviewed journals - Participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops - Experience in curriculum development and academic administration - Knowledge of modern pedagogical techniques and educational technology - Field experience in environmental studies, surveys, and impact assessments - Familiarity with environmental laws, policies, and sustainability practices Specific Areas of Expertise Required: Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas will be preferred: - Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology - Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation - Environmental Pollution and Control Technologies - Climate Change and Sustainability - Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing - Waste Management and Circular Economy - Water Resources and Watershed Management - Air Quality Management - Environmental Remote Sensing and GIS - Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology - Environmental Economics and Policy - Disaster Management and Risk AssessmentComplete Job Details
