Experience in government hospitals, armed forces medical services, or reputed private hospitals will be preferred. For Medical Officer (GDMO) positions: Minimum 02 years of experience as GDMO after MBBS. Fresh MBBS graduates may also apply but experienced candidates will be given preference. ## Salary and Remuneration
The salary structure for various positions is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical Officer (Specialist - Anesthesia): ₹1,30,000/- per month (consolidated), Medical Officer (Specialist - Pathology): ₹1,00,000/- per month (consolidated), Medical Officer (GDMO): ₹75,000/- per month (consolidated), Pharmacist: ₹30,000/- per month (consolidated), Lab Technician: ₹30,000/- per month (consolidated), Driver (Ordinary Grade): ₹21,800/- per month (consolidated), and Safaiwala: ₹18,000/- per month (consolidated). All salaries are consolidated amounts without any additional allowances like HRA, DA, or TA. However, the remuneration is quite attractive for contractual positions in government healthcare. The salaries will be disbursed monthly through bank transfer. Annual increments may be considered based on performance evaluation and government directives. In addition to salary, staff members may be entitled to leave benefits as per ECHS norms for contractual employees.
## Age Limit and Relaxation
The age limit for various positions is specified as follows: Medical Officer (Specialist): Maximum 50 years as on the closing date of application, Medical Officer (GDMO): Maximum 45 years, Pharmacist: Maximum 40 years, Lab Technician: Maximum 40 years, Driver: Maximum 40 years, and Safaiwala: Maximum 45 years. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application submission (02-02-2026). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. Additionally, ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation as per Ministry of Defence guidelines - the age relaxation for ex-servicemen is generally the number of years of service in armed forces plus 3 years, subject to maximum age limits prescribed for direct recruitment. Disabled persons with 40% or more disability are eligible for 10 years of age relaxation. Candidates claiming age relaxation must submit valid certificates issued by competent authorities.
## Contract Duration and Terms
All positions are contractual and initially for a period of 11 months (from March 2025 to January 2026). The contract may be extended for subsequent periods based on satisfactory performance, conduct, and requirement of the polyclinic. However, there is no provision for regularization or permanent employment. The contract is purely temporary and can be terminated by either party by giving one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu thereof. Contractual employees will be governed by ECHS rules and regulations for contractual staff. They will be required to maintain strict discipline, professional ethics, and confidentiality. Any misconduct, negligence, or violation of rules may lead to immediate termination of contract without notice. Selected candidates will be required to execute a contract agreement on prescribed format at the time of joining. They must provide undertakings regarding conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to service conditions.
## Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be required to perform duties assigned to them as per their designations. Medical Officers (Specialist) will conduct specialist OPD, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in their specialty, supervise junior doctors and paramedical staff, participate in emergency duties, maintain patient records, and provide consultations as required. Medical Officers (GDMO) will conduct general OPD, provide first aid and emergency medical care, refer patients to specialists when required, maintain medical records, undertake field visits if assigned, and participate in medical camps and health awareness programs. Pharmacists will dispense medicines as per prescriptions, maintain stock registers and inventory, ensure proper storage of medicines, counsel patients on medication usage, and prepare monthly indent for medicines. Lab Technicians will collect biological samples, perform laboratory tests, operate lab equipment, maintain quality control records, prepare reports, and ensure cleanliness and safety in laboratory. Drivers will transport patients, staff, and medical supplies, maintain vehicles in good condition, follow traffic rules, and maintain log books. Safaiwalas will maintain cleanliness in polyclinic premises, dispose medical waste as per BMW rules, assist in housekeeping activities, and perform other duties assigned by authorities.
## Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through a comprehensive evaluation process. For Medical Officer positions (Specialist and GDMO): Interview/Skill Test before a duly constituted Selection Board. The interview will assess medical knowledge, clinical skills, experience, communication abilities, and overall suitability. For Pharmacist and Lab Technician: Written test/practical test may be conducted followed by interview. The test will assess knowledge of pharmacy/laboratory science and practical skills. For Driver: Driving test on various types of roads and traffic conditions followed by an interview. Proficiency in vehicle maintenance and traffic rules will be tested. For Safaiwala: Personal interview to assess basic understanding and willingness to work. Candidates will be evaluated on various parameters including educational qualifications, relevant experience, performance in test/interview, overall personality, and suitability for the position. Preference will be given to ex-servicemen as per government policy. The decision of the Selection Board will be final and binding. Selected candidates will be intimated via phone/email. No separate call letters will be issued for the selection process.
