About the Junior Research Fellow Position

The Junior Research Fellow will work on a specific research project under the supervision of faculty members at IIT ISM Dhanbad. Age Limit and Fellowship Details

The maximum age limit for applicants is 35 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwD candidates as per Government of India norms. Upper age limit may be relaxed for exceptionally deserving candidates at the discretion of the appointing authority.

Selected Junior Research Fellows will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- for the first and second year. The fellowship may be revised for subsequent years as per DST/CSIR/UGC norms or project funding agency guidelines. In addition to the fellowship, JRFs are entitled to House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per institute rules and may receive contingency grants for research-related expenses.

Selection Process
