Application Fee

No application fee specified in the notification. Candidates can apply without payment. However, costs may be incurred for document photocopies, notarization, and postal charges if sending application by post.

Age Limit

Senior Legal Consultant: Not more than 65 years as on last date of application. This higher age limit allows the corporation to benefit from experienced senior advocates.

Legal Consultant: Not more than 35 years as on last date of application.

Relaxation: Age relaxation may be provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government norms. Experienced candidates may receive relaxation at the discretion of the selection committee.

Qualification Requirements

Essential: Degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from recognized university with enrollment as advocate with Bar Council. Valid practicing certificate required.

For Senior Legal Consultant: Minimum 15-20 years post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably in power sector, consumer protection, or public sector matters. Experience in High Court and Supreme Court practice preferred.

For Legal Consultant: Minimum 3-5 years experience in litigation with exposure to civil, commercial, or regulatory matters. Fresh law graduates with exceptional academic records may also apply.

Desirable: Experience in electricity laws, Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission matters, consumer protection cases, land acquisition proceedings, contract law, and administrative law.
