Age Limit for Project Research Scientist-I Position

Maximum Age Limit:

  • Candidates must not exceed 35 years of age as on the last date of application (24th January 2026)
  • This age limit follows ICMR norms for Project Research Scientist-I positions

Age Calculation:

Age will be calculated as on 24th January 2026 (last date for application submission). Candidates born after 24th January 1991 are eligible to apply.

Essential Qualifications (Any One):

Option 1: M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry

  • Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognized university
  • Should be approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)
  • Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Pharm degree
  • Thesis/dissertation work in medicinal chemistry or drug discovery will be an added advantage

Option 2: M.Sc. in Chemistry

  • Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry from a recognized university
  • Specialization in Organic Chemistry preferred
  • Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc. degree
  • Project work or research internship in synthetic chemistry will be beneficial

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

Academic Background:

  • Strong foundation in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutical chemistry
