Complete Job Details
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Rajsamand, operating under the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, has released an official notification for the recruitment of 20 Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs). This recruitment is part of the nationwide initiative to strengthen the legal aid delivery system and ensure access to justice for marginalized and economically weaker sections of society. Para Legal Volunteers play a vital role in creating legal awareness, identifying persons in need of legal aid, and facilitating their access to justice.
Para Legal Volunteers are grassroots-level workers who act as a bridge between the legal aid system and the community. They work at the village, block, and district levels to spread legal literacy, conduct legal awareness camps, assist in organizing Lok Adalats, help identify legal aid beneficiaries, provide preliminary legal counseling, and facilitate access to legal services. PLVs are the eyes and ears of the legal aid system, ensuring that no deserving person is denied access to justice due to lack of information or resources.
The position offers an honorarium of Rs. 750/- per day for the days of actual work performed. While this is not a regular salaried position, it provides an excellent opportunity for socially committed individuals, retired persons, students, social workers, and community leaders to contribute to the noble cause of social justice. Para Legal Volunteers receive training in basic legal concepts, legal aid schemes, and community mobilization techniques.
DLSA Rajsamand is looking for individuals who are genuinely interested in social welfare and have a passion for helping the underprivileged. The recruitment is open to a wide range of eligible persons including retired teachers, retired government employees, senior citizens, MSW students and teachers, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students and law students (until they are enrolled as lawyers), non-political active members of NGOs, clubs, women's groups, self-help groups, and even educated prisoners with good behavior serving long sentences.
The recruitment process is being conducted offline. Interested candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format along with required documents to the District Legal Services Authority, Rajsamand or the concerned Taluka Legal Services Committee before 27 January 2026 at 05:00 PM. This is a time-bound opportunity, and applications received after the deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, women, and retired employees. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit without any defect that could hinder the performance of their duties. Character certificates from two reputable persons (not related to the applicant and not older than six months) are mandatory.
This is more than just an employment opportunity - it is a chance to serve society, empower the marginalized, and contribute to the constitutional goal of ensuring justice for all. Para Legal Volunteers become catalysts of social change and play a crucial role in building a more just and equitable society.
